Salute 2019

This Saturday we had another Salute event held at the ExCel centre in London. The weather was cold and the sky grey but thousands of us made our way to London in an early morning, the smell of war-gaming was in the air and all generals attended the call for Salute.

I missed it last year so there was a lot of catch up to do, not really sure how much had changed but was curious about how the industry is going, from 10:00 to 17:00 I was prepared for non stop action.

I have found that the best way for me is to get there around 15 minutes before the doors open so the wait is minimal. I did find less people at the doors this time.

This year theme was Post apocalypse.

I will divide the blog posts by small updates with clusters of pictures so its easier to manage….

A couple years ago Drowned Earth was a Post apocalyptic game Kicstarter… today with the successful Kickstarter delivered before time they are expanding their ranges (cast in metal) with some more amazing new sculpts. They did walk a long way.

Eden still quite present with great sculpts and amazing paint jobs. Quite a good place to go if you are into post apoc.

Dakka Dakka Maelstrom edge game had some new scifi goodness, the releases looking better and better. Quite an achievement since not many produce plastic sprues to this level.
