Half centipede half Myconid this Mushroom devil was a challenge to sculpt. Multipart so its easy to cast and also making it in a way that the joining parts are not noticeable. Kind of a favourite for me since it has insectoid parts.
Cheers Allison. It's a strange crossbreed for sure, I struggled with not just doing a fungal infected insect or a mushroom with legs but rather a unique breed.
Found this through the Kickstarter announcement from Mortal Arrow.
I really love all these sculpts, but this one in particular! Wow! Beautiful for its intended crossbreed purpose, but I also kinda want to use one as an undead Ankheg infected with a Cordyceps fungus. Beautiful nightmares, that!
Thank you Adam! This one is probably the one most mutated from the infected Myconids and I cannot wait to see the way people will use it on their D&D adventures.
NIGHTMARES.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I think you successfully pulled off a cross between a fungal and a segmented arthropod look here. Especially in the head/"neck" area.
