Bits breakdown and next project.

With another project completed its time to regroup and think about things, right?

Wrong!

If anyone knows me is that I'm kind of the impulsive type and with so many projects yet to be done I have little time to think... besides thinking it's a waste of time, I rather spend it actually punching greenstuff!

Working overtime everyday at my day job and juggling with my kid needs for attention, its hard to sculpt these days... thats why I do it at night :D

So my next project its something really different and a bit crazy. I'm going to be sculpting a mascot similar to this:

Chibi knight with a brush to paint you to death... Brill!

I also forgot to upload a pic with the bits rundown of my previous Hezrou demons sculpts... here you go.

Sweet nightmares folks, I'm going to sculpt a bit more now!

Creature / Demon 4 of 4

Ok so this is the final demon on this lot.
This project is now completed and in transit to the states, soon enough you can get them at Fractured Dimensions and on your tabletop incursions.

During this week I will post more random pictures with all the bitz etc...

Creature / Demon 3 of 4

Following the daily updates here's the 3rd sculpt for the Hezrou demon type II.

These are around the 30mm scale and will probably be packed all in one blister, meaning you will have 4 demons, 4 different heads that can be used on any of them and one shield that can be used on 2 different demons, or if you choose you can just leave the shield off.
A nice little demonic blister or if you fancy some kind of swamp dungeon creatures.

Another update tomorrow... Happy fathers day! I'm going to spend the rest of this Sunday sculpting a new project and teaching my kid to paint a bit.

Creature / Demon 2 of 4

Here is the 2nd Monster that will go into the same blister of demons I have been sculpting for Fractured Dimensions.

Again the heads are interchangeable between all 4 demons. Also this one has a detachable shield that can be used on another demon instead leaving this one with just one single hand weapon for fighting in your dungeon adventures.

See you all tomorrow for another update.

Creature / Demon 1 of 4

Hi fellas,

Some weeks ago I finished up some more sculpts but only now I managed to find the time to post them.

In the next days I will upload all images here.

Sculpted for Fractured Dimensions 1st monster...

These sculpts will have interchangeable parts like the heads, meaning you will have a bit more variation.

Tomorrow I will post 2nd one.

Goblin Aid Update

Goblin aid project has been in my opinion one of the best examples of how our community is so giving and friendly. One friend was, and still is, facing a slow recovery from a life threatening trauma but he is not alone since everyone is doing their best to make that journey a bit less painful for him.

You can follow the full project at

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Goblinaid/582169528462833

As for the sculptors involved here is a picture of all the sculpts donated to the project so far, there are still 3 not there.

Plenty of gobbos for all tastes and I hope once these are casted more people will join in this good cause.

The word is that they are heading for casting really soon but in the meanwhile you can also get into Goblin Aid by donating or buying packs of miniatures donated by companies to the project.

Salute coverage (part 5)

This is the final post about Salute 2013 coverage and I would like to say that it was a memorable event.

This year I would like to point out that it was very clear that this hobby is growing,  there was plenty of new minis, games, demos, painting comps and nice happy people everywhere... and some apes too.

There was lots of good things going on there but unfortunately I only managed to capture a few of them, I did miss some big names and companies like hasslefree and mantic etc... In my defense my plans for a more complete report did fall apart when I was invited to play the last game of the day on Frothers table the planet of apes... and glad I did because not only I was having a blast with my ugly frother friends but the damn game was funny has hell and gave me lots of ideas...

My favorite companies where all there except for  khurasan miniatures and between taking photos and drooling all over the place I did buy some goodies to keep me warm for a full year.

Antenocitti gave me a kick in the nuts with some awesome apc's and vehicles inspired on Aliens, I just had to have them all and so I did! Then I needed a full army of colonial marines to put inside the vehicles right?.... so I went down to Ground zero games and found that their new tomorrow's war RANG are not only some of the best GZG minis atm but they are close to how Colonial marines look like... Got a full army there!
The wild card was the power armor suits from Brigade, got them to make my army more versatile.

Pics of my new army

Colonial Marines

Only need to bug hunt some space demons from Khurasan now and also get the new rules from Ganesha games, SWATTERS for some intense Aliens wars!

Thats it folks, if I had to point out only 5 of the things that are going to stay carved into my memory about this year Salute it would be:

Goblin Aid
Colonial Marines
Hammer Slammers
Planet of Apes
Origen art Mermaid

What can I say, perfect day and it's good to see that this hobby is alive and well.

Roll on to Salute 2014!

Cheers

Salute coverage (part4)

Browsing salute tables is such a feast to the eyes, so many games, scales and styles that you could spend all day just looking at the details in them.

After some shopping and miniatures reports later... I went to check the tables there and only took pictures of something like 5% of the things there, it was all just crazy massive!

Tabletop Pictures

Funny thing Privateer Press had a table for a speed painting contest and if you think it would have lots of young gamers all over it guess again... the old farts like me took the table by storm. Brilliant.

The Planet of Apes table by Frothers was the most dangerous table on Salute... It hold me hostage for the last hours of the day in a frenetic game between Frothers... bunch of apes!
( more on this game on another report)

And to close another report I leave you with what in my opinion was the best table of salute...
This thing was soooooooooooooo huge and detailed that it was clear eye catcher!

and its 15mm scifi!

HAMMER SLAMMERS table

Yes all of those are 1 table!

See you all on next update

Salute coverage (Part 3)

Hi folks  it's time for another salute report and today concentrating more on 28mm's.

I was quite impressed to see some of the newer ranges like Eden, Bushido, Sphere wars etc presenting full ranges of painted miniatures on the level of golden demon... it was really a party to the eyes.

I was sooooo tempted by the fiddler but at 100 quid it would mean I could not buy more goodies that day...
Awesome paint job too, so lets kick start with the fiddler:

Freebooter new stuff, I'm a big fan of this range I need some Pirate gobbos!

Another company with a very special mermaid... at 40quid I almost opened my wallet here, one of the best minis of the show!

Fenris games lots of goodies

Relics

Hydra miniatures

Mcvey Studios

Kick ass

Sphere wars miniatures

Bushido!

Agora miniatures

Miniature factory

Random pics

Heresy miniatures

Dark World Creations

EDEN

Colors wars IIRC

New company debut... AX faction

Ammon Miniatures ( crazy stuff there)

SMOG stuff

Dungeons and dragons

And to finish up in style
Otherworld miniatures had one amazing stand...

because this is the bug man space I loved to see a painted version of the tarantula I sculpted for Otherworld a couple years back

See you all on part 4
